⚠️ Crisis Prevention & De-escalation Skills *coming soon
Lesson Overview
1.1 – Defining a Crisis in Daily Life: A crisis is a moment when your normal ways of coping stop working and life feels too heavy to manage. It can come from stress, loss, fear, or sudden change that overwhelms your balance. Everyone faces crises differently, and what feels small to one person can feel huge to another. Understanding that a crisis is not a sign of weakness but a signal for support helps you respond wisely. Crises can be emotional, physical, or social, but all create pressure that demands attention. When your emotions rise faster than your control, it becomes harder to think clearly. Recognizing these moments early can prevent harm and promote growth. A crisis does not mean failure—it means you’ve hit a limit and need tools to reset. With awareness and support, even difficult moments can become opportunities to rebuild strength. Knowing what a crisis truly is helps you notice patterns and prepare better for next time.
