Lesson Overview
1.1 – What Are Emotions and Why Do We Feel Them?: Emotions are signals that help you understand what is going on inside and around you. They warn you of danger, pull you toward what matters, and guide your choices. Joy can tell you to keep going, and fear can tell you to slow down. Anger can point to a boundary that was crossed. Sadness can show you what you value and miss. Emotions are not good or bad by themselves; they are information. They rise and fall like waves, and that is normal. You can notice them without letting them take over. When you learn their messages, you can act in wiser ways. With practice, emotions become tools, not traps.
