Lesson Overview

1.2 – Identifying Strengths and Past Successes: List three subjects or tasks that have felt natural and note why. Think of a time you taught someone a skill and what that reveals about you. Review old grades, work projects, or personal wins and circle patterns. Ask friends or mentors to share what they see as your top strengths. Translate each strength into a school skill, like patience into careful reading. Keep a “wins” folder on your phone with screenshots and notes. Use strengths first when tackling new topics to build early success. Choose classes or resources that match how you learn best. Speak your strengths in interviews and emails to advisors. Revisit your list weekly and add new examples.
