Lesson Overview

8.13 – Avoiding Panic Thinking: Panic thinking happens when emotion overwhelms logic. It drives fast, fear-based decisions that often backfire. Avoiding it starts with awareness—recognizing when your body tenses, your breathing quickens, or your thoughts race. In those moments, grounding and slow breathing reset the nervous system. Writing thoughts down or saying them aloud slows mental speed. Over time, practicing calm response during smaller stresses trains your brain for bigger ones. Avoiding panic thinking doesn’t mean ignoring urgency—it means mastering it, ensuring that clarity and control guide every choice instead of fear or pressure.
