Lesson Overview

1.137 – Choosing Not to Spiral: A spiral starts when one bad thought turns into many. Something small happens, and suddenly it feels like everything is wrong. Spiraling takes you away from logic and into panic. To stop it, you have to catch the first thought before it grows. Ask yourself, “Is this fact or feeling?” or “What’s the evidence?” These questions interrupt the cycle. Moving your body or changing your environment can also pull you out of the spin. Every time you choose not to spiral, your brain learns calm faster. It’s not about avoiding emotions — it’s about keeping control of your direction.
