🛡️ Teen - How to Make Good Decisions Series *coming soon
Course overview
Lesson Overview

1.139 – Emotional Flooding: What to Do: Emotional flooding happens when your feelings become too strong to manage. It’s like being trapped in a wave you can’t escape. Your brain stops thinking clearly, and your body reacts with panic or shutdown. When that happens, the best move is to step back from the situation completely. Find quiet, breathe slowly, and let your body reset. Don’t force yourself to solve problems while flooded — it never works. Once you calm down, your brain can process again. Knowing that this reaction is normal helps reduce shame. Everyone floods sometimes; what matters is learning how to come back to calm.
