Lesson Overview
1.10 – Why Some Days Feel Harder Than Others: Healing from trauma is not a straight line. Some days feel light and full of hope, while others feel heavy without reason. The brain processes memories unevenly, which can cause emotional ups and downs. Fatigue, reminders, or stress can reopen old wounds unexpectedly. These shifts are part of how the body relearns safety. Recognizing that hard days don’t mean failure helps maintain patience. Each difficult moment can still be progress in disguise. Healing happens in cycles—each return to strength lasts a little longer. Understanding this pattern brings compassion for oneself.
