Lesson Overview
1.13 – Identifying Barriers Caused by Trauma: Trauma creates invisible walls between a person and their goals. These barriers can appear as fear, shame, confusion, or low confidence. Some are emotional, others practical, like trouble focusing or trusting. Recognizing them allows for realistic planning and patience. Each barrier reveals a skill or resource that can be rebuilt. Naming the obstacle gives it less power over daily choices. Growth begins with awareness, followed by small wins that restore momentum. Overcoming barriers is not about force—it’s about understanding what the mind needs to feel safe again.
