Lesson Overview
1.5 – Daily Habits That Can Be Harder After Trauma: Trauma often interrupts the flow of ordinary habits. Activities like cooking, showering, or cleaning may no longer feel simple. The brain focuses on safety, not routine, causing energy and motivation to drop. Ordinary tasks can feel like emotional obstacles. Guilt may follow for not doing “enough,” creating more pressure. These habits are not lost—they are waiting to be rebuilt with patience. Setting small, clear goals helps restore order one habit at a time. Over time, consistency replaces avoidance. Reclaiming daily habits becomes a quiet form of healing and control.
