Lesson Overview

1.14 – Breaking Myths About Mental Illness: Myths create fear and keep people from help. One myth is that mental illness means weakness; it does not. Another myth is that people never get better; many do with care. Some think therapy is only for “serious” problems; it helps with everyday stress, too. People fear medicine means they are broken; it is just one tool. Labels do not define a person’s worth or future. Asking for help is a smart and brave step. Learning facts reduces shame and opens doors. When myths fall, support rises. Truth makes healing easier for everyone.
