Course overview
Lesson Overview

1.3 – Internal vs. External Motivation: Internal motivation comes from personal values and interests. It feels like curiosity, purpose, or joy. External motivation comes from rewards, points, or praise. It can start action when energy is low. Both types can help at different times. Internal motivation lasts longer and feels calmer. External motivation is great for kickstarting a habit. Balance matters so effort does not fade. Use rewards to begin and meaning to sustain. Over time, shift from outside push to inside drive.
