Lesson Overview

3.12 – Teaching Clients to Self-Track Progress: Self-tracking builds ownership of growth. When people record their own actions, they learn from feedback faster. It helps them see that progress comes from effort, not luck. Self-tracking also builds honesty and reflection. It teaches planning, follow-through, and accountability. Over time, the person becomes less dependent on others. The skill carries into school, work, and personal life. Teaching this step empowers independence and confidence. It also creates more accurate data for helpers to guide from. True progress happens when the learner becomes the tracker.
