1.6 – Understanding the Habit Loop: The habit loop has three parts you can learn to spot. The cue is the trigger that starts the behavior. The routine is the action you take next. The reward is the feeling or result that seals the loop. Your brain loves rewards like relief, pride, or fun. To change a loop, keep the cue and reward but swap the routine. Test different routines until the reward still feels satisfying. Track what works so you can repeat it tomorrow. Each clean loop you run builds your habit strength. With practice, the loop turns into your new normal.
