Lesson Overview

2.1 – Discovering Internal vs. External Motivation: Motivation comes from two main sources—inside you and outside you. Internal motivation is driven by personal values, curiosity, or pride in doing something well. External motivation comes from rewards, praise, or pressure from others. Both types can help you move forward, but one usually lasts longer. When motivation comes from within, your effort feels meaningful and steady. When it comes from outside, it may fade once the reward is gone. Learning to tell the difference helps you choose what fuels you best. You might start with outside rewards but stay for the inner satisfaction. The stronger your internal drive, the more consistent your progress. Understanding your source of motivation gives you the key to lasting change.
