1.7 – Distinguishing Between Positive and Negative Habits: Positive habits move you closer to health, goals, and values. Negative habits pull energy, time, or trust away from you. Ask, “Does this action help future me or hurt future me?” Notice how you feel right after and hours later. Good habits may feel hard now but pay off later. Unhelpful habits can feel good now but cost you later. Rate habits by their long-term effect, not just the moment. Keep what helps and redesign what harms. This simple filter makes choices clearer. Over time, more good habits will crowd out the bad.
