Lesson Overview

2.5 – Anchoring Attention Through Grounding Exercises: Grounding connects your attention to something solid when your mind drifts. You can focus on your feet touching the floor, the sound of your breath, or an object near you. This simple act reminds you that you are safe and present. When anxiety rises, grounding slows racing thoughts and brings clarity. Touching or naming what you see helps pull focus away from stress. Each sense can become an anchor — sight, sound, touch, smell, or taste. Practicing grounding daily makes your focus easier to find under pressure. It trains your body to calm itself without effort. With time, you notice distractions fade faster. Grounding gives your mind a safe place to rest.
