3.3 – Exploring the Link Between Feelings and Thoughts: Thoughts and feelings feed each other in a loop. What you think shapes how you feel, and how you feel shapes what you think. A single event can feel big or small depending on the story you tell yourself about it. Learning to spot that link gives you control. You can test a thought by asking, “Is this true or just a reaction?” When you change one part of the loop, the other starts to change too. Awareness breaks the chain of automatic emotions. Balanced thinking leads to balanced feeling, which leads to better choices all around.
