Lesson Overview

2.12 – The Difference Between Effort and Outcome Goals: Effort goals focus on what you can control, like trying your best or showing up daily. Outcome goals focus on the final result, like winning or finishing first. Both matter, but effort goals keep you motivated even when results take time. You can’t always control outcomes, but you can control effort. Rewarding effort builds confidence and long-term discipline. It also reduces stress because success is measured by action, not perfection. Outcome goals give direction, while effort goals build the foundation. When you combine both, you grow stronger and more consistent.
