Lesson Overview

9.4 – The Habit Loop: Cue, Routine, Reward: Every habit follows a pattern called the habit loop—cue, routine, and reward. The cue triggers the action, the routine is what you do, and the reward gives satisfaction that makes your brain repeat it. Understanding this loop helps you create good habits and replace bad ones. For example, if stress makes you snack, keep the cue (stress) but change the routine (walk or stretch). Reward yourself for the healthier choice. When you control each part of the loop, you control your growth. This structure turns behavior change into a repeatable system.
