Lesson Overview

5.14 – Practicing Mutual Respect in Decisions: Mutual respect means valuing each person’s voice, even in disagreement. It’s shown through tone, timing, and listening before responding. When both sides feel respected, compromise becomes easier. Respect doesn’t mean full agreement—it means treating others with dignity. Avoid talking over or dismissing opinions too quickly. You can say, “I see where you’re coming from” to show openness. Respect helps people stay calm enough to think clearly. It turns competition into connection and offense into understanding. In any decision, respect is the glue that keeps it together. Without it, even good plans fall apart.
