Lesson Overview

9.7 – Practicing Assertive but Nonviolent Communication: Assertiveness means expressing needs clearly without harm. Speak firmly but kindly when setting boundaries. Maintain steady posture and even tone. Avoid passive silence or aggressive demands. Use “I need” instead of “You must.” Respect the other person’s right to respond. Repeat calmly if misunderstood or ignored. Assertive communication builds respect, not fear. Confidence replaces chaos when messages stay balanced. Nonviolence protects relationships while preserving self-respect.
