Lesson Overview

1.4 – Building Awareness of Psychosomatic Symptoms: Sometimes emotions show up as physical symptoms, even when there is no illness or injury causing them. Stress, anxiety, or fear might create stomach aches, chest tightness, or dizziness that feel very real. This happens because the brain sends strong messages to the body during emotional overload. Learning to notice patterns helps you understand what your body is trying to communicate. When symptoms appear during stressful times and fade during calm moments, it may be your body asking for support, not signaling danger. Recognizing these connections teaches you that your body is not your enemy, but a messenger. Practicing grounding, deep breathing, and mindful awareness can ease these symptoms by calming the nervous system. You build confidence as you identify emotional triggers and respond with care. Over time, your body learns to feel safer again, and you develop healthier coping habits that improve both emotional comfort and physical peace.
