Lesson Overview

3.11 – Mindful Eating Practices: Mindful eating encourages you to slow down and pay attention to your food, helping you enjoy meals while supporting digestion and emotional balance. When you eat quickly or when distracted, your brain may not notice fullness cues, leading to overeating or discomfort. Mindful eating helps you recognize hunger signals and appreciate flavors, textures, and how food makes you feel. Taking smaller bites, chewing fully, and putting down utensils between bites gives your body time to respond. You become more aware of what fuels you best and which foods leave you feeling sluggish. This practice also reduces stress and prevents emotional overeating. Mindful eating teaches you to form a respectful relationship with food, seeing it as care for your body instead of a quick fix. With practice, meals become a calm moment in your day, building healthier habits and stronger self-awareness.
