Lesson Overview

3.4 – Separating Feedback From Personal Attacks: Not all feedback feels kind, but that does not mean it is meant to hurt. Learning to separate tone from truth helps you find useful parts of the message. Ask yourself, “What facts can I take from this, even if it was said poorly?” This keeps you focused on growth, not anger. Remember that feedback is about behavior, not identity. You are not your mistake. Taking the helpful pieces and letting go of the rest shows emotional strength. It also models calmness for others. Separating emotion from meaning takes practice but saves many relationships. It turns hard words into lessons instead of wounds.
