Lesson Overview

6.5 – Avoiding Interruptions During Listening: Interrupting may seem small, but it sends a message that your thoughts matter more. True listening means letting the other person finish fully before replying. Pausing gives space for their full story to unfold. Even if you disagree, waiting to speak shows maturity and patience. Interruptions often come from excitement or discomfort, not disrespect, but they still block understanding. Counting to three before answering can help. Avoid finishing sentences for others—it takes away their voice. The more you practice silence, the more respect and clarity grow. Listening fully before responding turns tension into teamwork.
