Lesson Overview

1.5 – Practicing Single-Tasking with Simple Chores: Doing one thing at a time might feel slow, but it’s one of the fastest ways to strengthen focus. Choose a small daily chore like washing dishes, folding clothes, or sweeping the floor, and commit to giving it your full attention. Notice the details—the texture, sound, and rhythm of the movement. When your mind wanders, gently guide it back to the activity. This practice retrains your brain to stay present without jumping between thoughts. The more you single-task, the more efficient your thinking becomes in other areas of life. Over time, your attention span increases, and multitasking loses its appeal because you realize how much calmer it feels to move at one mental speed. Even the most ordinary task becomes an exercise in mindfulness and discipline.
