1.14 – Resetting Roles Through Open Dialogue: Schedule a calm meeting with a simple purpose: “Let’s review what’s working and what needs to change.” Start with appreciations to reduce defensiveness. List current roles and the pressures attached. Ask each person what feels heavy, what feels unseen, and what they hope could shift. Turn wishes into small experiments with timelines, like “I’ll handle mornings for two weeks.” Write agreements down and post them in a shared spot. Plan a follow-up to adjust without blame. Use time-outs if emotions spike, then return when calm. Keep language specific and kind. End each reset by noting progress and repeating the plan. Regular, respectful dialogue makes roles flexible, fair, and sustainable.
