🛡️ Teen Survival Guide for Police Encounters
Course overview
Lesson Overview

1.11 – What to Do If You’re Slammed Against a Wall or Car: When force catches you off guard, your instincts will tell you to fight back — but survival means staying calm, not matching energy. If an officer pushes or pins you, freeze your body to show you are not resisting. Keep your face turned where you can breathe and say clearly, “I am not resisting.” Avoid twisting, kicking, or pulling away because even self-protection can be mistaken as aggression. Remember everything you can — tone of voice, time, surroundings — but don’t argue in the moment. Focus on protecting your head and chest. Your calmness under pressure can save your life. Later, when you’re safe, document every detail for your protection. Staying alive is the victory that matters most.
