Lesson Overview

1.3 – Recognizing Early Signs of Overwhelm: Your body often gives small warnings before stress becomes too heavy to manage. You may notice tension in your shoulders, a twisting feeling in your stomach, or a sudden change in your appetite. Your thoughts might get quicker, louder, or more negative than usual. Little things that normally don’t bother you may suddenly feel irritating or unfair. You might struggle to focus, forget simple tasks, or feel like you can’t keep up with everything. Emotions might shift fast, leaving you confused about why you reacted strongly. Sleep can change too, causing trouble falling asleep or waking up feeling tired. These early signs are not weaknesses but signals asking for care and attention. When you learn your stress cues, you can step in sooner and protect your energy. Spotting the signs early can prevent stress from turning into burnout or shutdown.
