1.6 – How Stress Can Impact Sleep, Appetite, and Focus: Stress can interrupt the natural rhythms your body uses to stay healthy each day. When your mind is busy with worry or pressure, sleep may not come easily, leaving you tired the next day. Some people lose their appetite, while others eat more to comfort themselves when stress builds up. Focus can fade quickly, and tasks that once felt simple might require much more effort. Homework, chores, or decisions may take longer because your brain is busy trying to solve hidden stress. Your body might crave sugar or caffeine for quick energy, but those choices can add more stress later. Feeling tired and unfocused may make you think you’re failing, even though stress is the real cause. These changes are signs that your mind and body need help calming down again. Caring for basic needs is a key part of reducing stress before it grows stronger.
