Lesson Overview

1.40 – Recognizing Crisis in Non-Verbal Communication: Most communication happens without words—through facial expressions, tone, and movement. During crisis, people often say less but show more. Clenched fists, pacing, or blank stares can speak louder than shouting. Learning to read these cues keeps situations from boiling over. Calm posture and open body language can invite safety back. When you mirror calm instead of reacting, tension drops naturally. Watching for silence or stillness is just as important as watching for noise. Understanding body signals turns confusion into awareness. Being observant shows care and can defuse danger before words even start.
