Lesson Overview

3.2 – Grounding Exercises to Stay Present: Grounding keeps your mind in the moment instead of trapped in fear. It reminds your body that the danger is not as big as it feels. Touching an object, naming five things you see, or feeling your feet on the floor can pull you back to now. The five-senses method—see, hear, touch, smell, taste—anchors your brain. Counting backwards by sevens or repeating a safe phrase can also steady your focus. These actions reconnect logic and calm. The more you practice grounding when calm, the faster it works when stress hits.
