Lesson Overview

9.3 – How to Safely Call Emergency Services: If safety is at risk and immediate help is needed, calling emergency services is the right choice. Speak clearly, give your location first, and describe what’s happening as calmly as possible. If you’re afraid of being misunderstood, mention mental health or medical needs early. Staying on the line until they arrive ensures support reaches you safely. If someone else is in crisis, speak slowly and avoid sudden movements while calling. Preparation and calm tone can save lives. Emergency calls are tools for safety, not shame.
