Lesson Overview

4.13 – Acknowledging Feelings Without Agreeing: You can respect someone’s feelings without taking sides. Saying “I see this is upsetting for you” shows care without judgment. It keeps conversation open even if you disagree. Acknowledging feelings is about validation, not agreement. This reduces defensiveness and builds trust. People often need to feel understood before they can hear solutions. Naming the emotion is like releasing pressure from a tight bottle. Empathy and boundaries can co-exist in peace.
