Lesson Overview

2.13 – Learning Bus and Train Route Maps: Bus and train maps show how public transit connects across your area. Each colored line usually represents a route or direction. Stops are marked with dots or station names along each line. Transfer points let you switch from one route to another. Understanding where routes overlap helps you plan flexible trips. Reading the map key helps you see which routes run late or on weekends. Matching station names on signs to those on the map builds memory. Taking notes on which direction to face prevents confusion. Keeping a photo of your main routes in your phone helps backup memory. With practice, you’ll navigate transit systems with confidence and ease.
