Lesson Overview

5.13 – Handling Crossings Without Traffic Lights: Not all streets have traffic lights or signals. These crossings require extra care and awareness. Start by finding a clear gap in both directions. Look left, right, and left again before stepping off. Walk quickly but don’t run, keeping eyes on moving cars. Raise your hand slightly to show your intention to cross. Never assume a driver will stop just because you expect it. Choose straight crossings where drivers can see you clearly. Listening for approaching cars helps when visibility is low. Using judgment and patience helps you handle any type of street safely.
