Lesson Overview

5.7 – Staying Visible to Drivers at Night: Visibility at night is a major part of pedestrian safety. Wear light or reflective clothing so headlights catch you easily. Carrying a small flashlight or using your phone light helps too. Stay on well-lit sidewalks whenever possible. Avoid wearing dark clothes that blend into the background. Walk facing traffic so you can see cars coming toward you. Crossing at intersections with lights increases safety. Avoid distractions and make eye contact with drivers before crossing. Reflective tape on shoes or bags can boost visibility. Staying visible ensures you’re seen before danger approaches, keeping you safe every evening walk.
