Lesson Overview

4.5 – Boarding and Exiting Safely: Getting on and off buses or trains safely takes awareness and patience. Wait for passengers to exit before you enter. Hold handrails as you step up or down to avoid slips. Move away from doors once inside to let others board. Watch for gaps between the platform and the train. Keep bags and straps close to your body. When your stop approaches, prepare early instead of rushing. Look both ways before stepping into busy areas. If you need help, let staff know ahead of time. Practicing calm and steady movements makes every ride smoother. Safe boarding and exiting protect both you and other travelers.
