Lesson Overview

6.7 – Speaking Up When Assistance Is Needed: Knowing when and how to ask for help is part of independence. If you feel unsafe, lost, or confused, speak up early. Find a uniformed driver or staff member nearby. Use calm and clear words to explain what you need. Being polite helps them focus on your request. Asking for help quickly prevents small problems from growing. Don’t wait until you’re panicking to reach out. Staff are trained to handle questions and emergencies safely. Practicing how to ask makes it easier in real situations. Speaking up shows courage and responsibility in managing your safety.
