Lesson Overview

3.1 – Naming Feelings Together: Naming feelings helps the brain make sense of body signals. Start with simple words like happy, sad, mad, and scared. Add more as your child grows, like nervous, excited, or disappointed. Use daily moments to practice, like after school or before bed. Point to facial expressions and guess the feeling kindly. Share your own feelings in short, clear words. Ask where the feeling sits in the body to build awareness. Use visuals or charts to make it easier. Praise honest naming even when the feeling is hard. The more you name together, the easier it gets to handle tough moments.
