Lesson Overview

7.6 – Giving Children a Voice in Small Decisions: Choice builds confidence when it fits the child’s level. Start with small decisions like snacks, clothes, or activity order. Make sure both options work for you as the adult. Encourage them to explain their reasoning briefly. Praise effort to think things through. Stay patient when choices take time. If it doesn’t work out, review gently together. Avoid rescuing too quickly—let learning happen naturally. Each small voice strengthens independence. Over time, these choices prepare them for bigger ones.
