Lesson Overview

9.7 – Guiding Children in Friendship Conflicts: Friendship conflicts are normal and can teach empathy. Stay calm and neutral when your child shares a problem. Listen to all sides before giving advice. Help them name feelings and needs clearly. Brainstorm possible solutions together, not just fixes. Teach apology and forgiveness as skills, not just words. Remind them that disagreements don’t mean the friendship is over. Encourage taking breaks when emotions run high. Celebrate when they handle a conflict with maturity. Healthy friendships grow stronger through repair and understanding.
