Lesson Overview

6.6 – Helping Siblings Apologize and Forgive: Sibling conflicts are chances to teach empathy. Guide them to name what happened and how it felt. Encourage eye contact and calm voices during apologies. Remind them that saying “sorry” is about care, not guilt. Help the other child express what they need to forgive. Avoid forcing forgiveness—let it come with time. Highlight how repair rebuilds safety between them. Praise any step toward kindness and patience. Reflect afterward on what worked well. These small repairs create a foundation for lifelong harmony.
