Lesson Overview

3.4 – Helping Children Express Anger Safely: Anger is a normal signal that something feels unfair or too much. Teach words that fit the moment, like “I’m mad” or “I need space.” Show safe body moves, like wall pushes, pillow hits, or squeezing clay. Keep hands, feet, and objects from hurting people. Offer steps to cool down, like water, breath, or counting. Set clear limits without shame or lectures. Name the need under the anger when calm returns. Practice problem-solving after safety is back. Praise any safe choice during the storm. Safe anger skills protect trust and respect.
