3.10 – Redirecting Aggression Into Communication: Aggression often hides fear, frustration, or shame. Step in fast to keep people safe and calm. Use few words and a steady, firm tone. Offer safe outlets like movement or pressure. When calm returns, name the feeling underneath. Teach short phrases to ask for help or space. Practice using those phrases in quick drills. Notice and praise even small shifts toward words. Set clear, consistent limits for safety. Over time, words replace hurtful actions.
