Lesson Overview

3.3 – Using Stories to Teach About Emotions: Stories open doors to feelings in a safe way. Choose books where characters face real challenges. Pause to ask what a character might feel and why. Talk about choices the character made and other options. Point out moments of kindness and repair. Connect the story to your child’s own life gently. Use simple drawings to retell key parts. Act out scenes to practice better choices. End with a short lesson you both remember. Stories turn ideas into skills your child can use.
