Lesson Overview

7.1 – Teaching Children to Identify Problems: Problem-solving starts with awareness. Help your child notice when something feels off or frustrating. Ask questions like “What’s bothering you?” or “What’s not working?” Encourage them to describe the situation clearly without blaming. Teach that problems are normal parts of learning, not signs of failure. Write or draw the issue to make it visible. Model calm curiosity instead of panic. Break the problem into small, understandable parts. Celebrate when they can name the challenge clearly. Identifying problems builds confidence to find better solutions next time.
