Lesson Overview

8.9 – Supporting Children Who Struggle Verbally: Some children need extra patience and creativity to communicate. Use visual tools, gestures, or pictures to support understanding. Offer choices through pointing or cards when words are hard. Speak slowly with warm tone and simple sentences. Praise any attempt to communicate, no matter how small. Avoid finishing sentences for them unless asked. Work with specialists when needed but keep home communication gentle. Celebrate every bit of progress out loud. Keep eye contact soft and encouraging. Support and acceptance help communication blossom naturally.
