Lesson Overview

3.2 – Practicing Friendly Body Language and Eye Contact: Body language sends messages even when you are not speaking, so friendly gestures help others feel safe and welcome. Standing or sitting upright shows confidence and interest in the conversation. A warm smile invites people to connect with you. Making eye contact in short, comfortable moments shows that you are paying attention. Relaxing your shoulders and arms makes you appear open instead of closed off. Nodding when someone speaks shows that you are listening and care about their ideas. Giving others personal space helps them feel respected. Practicing in front of a mirror can help you notice your natural expressions. Friendly body language makes it easier to join conversations and build relationships. Positive social signals bring people closer and help you become more confident in public settings.
