Lesson Overview

6.5 – Dealing With Group Anxiety or Fear of Judgment: Feeling nervous when joining a new group is normal because you want to make a good impression. Taking deep breaths and reminding yourself that others also feel shy can help you relax. Preparing a few topics to talk about can make conversations easier. Focusing on one person at a time helps large groups feel less overwhelming. Remember that mistakes are okay and part of meeting new people. Positive self-talk builds confidence and reduces fear. The more you show up, the less anxiety you will feel. Being kind to yourself encourages growth instead of stress. Each time you face your fears, you become stronger. Courage grows every time you push through nervous feelings.
